Going Up, Slowing Down.

Flying out of a manic Euston station on Friday night for a weekend escape north.

Watching the sun set and the pace slow as we made our way to a chilled down Bolton, a welcome relief from inner city London.

A weekend packed with activities as we laughed ourselves silly, reuniting over cake, giggles, ciders and the All Blacks.

Cross crossing our way through Manchester and Liverpool, catching up with old friends and meeting new; and learning that not everyone lives in shoeboxes packed with people of varying accents, jobs and cleaning abilities.

Riding home exhausted, amazed, enlightened and hungry; with too many words in my head and not enough time on my hands, these pictures will have to suffice.

Early Bird Catches The Worm.

Only a limited number of these beautiful London sunrises left.

Live in the moment.

Americas Cup

Watching the boys fail to bring it home and getting homesick/giggly over that accent. The air of our lounge was filled with profanity. Why do we always fall at the final hurdle?

We'll get that billionaire next time.

In the meantime, that American that applied for the spare room in our flat? Not gon' happen!

Bend it like Beckham.

The truest British experience: football!

When the English change, becoming loud, obtrusive, extroverted hooligans. My ears are still ringing with chants, and profanities.

At Fulham stadium and able to watch boats glide past on the Thames as the sun set into the distance. I somehow managed to get away side section tickets so we were forced to support Everton. We also happened to be in the loudest, most raucous area with an intense police presence.

We (die hard Everton fan now, go the blues!) also lost. Despite being considerably higher in the rankings.

Escaping into the night with a predominately happy (it was the winning sides home stadium) crowd: meaning the silence of the dark night was interrupted by whistling, shouting and revelry. And the galloping hooves of police horses chasing drunken idiots.

Feels like England.

Tube Thoughts.

Positives:
- men in suits on the commute. Hands down.

Negatives:
- vomiting at work and having it as your method of transportation home.

23.08.13

23 on the 23rd.

Coolest, kindest, most awesome colleagues.

The miracles of unnecessary and surprising generosity and kindness.

Lucky. Stoked. Spoiled. Smiling. Happy.

Define - Contraband.

When you find out one of your flatmates thought 'contraband' was another term for the colloquial 'shelfing' (if you don't know what that means, don't google it) and the most hilarious conversation ensues.

I have not laughed that hard in a very long time. We are probably the funniest flat ever. Comedians in training.
